Paylor I would never go for any detailing from the dealer. No paint care product will last 7 years, and I doubt you could actually get the company to cover new paint. Even if you have the dealer put it on, I would still do clay+sealant at least twice a year. Just my .02.

Even when the Saturday shifts are going, VOTS never updates on the weekend.

I checked mine for a few days after I picked her up. Hard habit to break.

SeaDude OK,

WillysGal Thanks for the reminders-- got all of that. They thought I was a whacko for wanting the vinvision report!

I got the Zurich shield for half price. I figure since my jeep will live outside it's worth the warranty for a couple hundred bucks, especially on black paint. If not, it isn't that much money flushed.

They will definitely make the Jeep right. I know that with these guys which is why I went with them.

No message from our Ace but he did PM me along the way. Waiting to pay and drive out!

Any suggestions on using this disappointment to leverage any services or anything? They've been good about it so far. They did give me a trail kit still in box though not mine specifically. That's ok. Freedom too bag and grab handles all there, bottle of touch up paint.
Hopefully they take care of you and get your Jeep looking 100%. Don't forget to ask for your Build Sheet and VinVision report if you want those.

WillysGal [QUOTE="Maxx143;9993169"] Pretty sure any dealership that offers the products will be happy to do it for you. See if you can find a place that offers the Simonize. It's a Dupont product. Basically if anything (bird crap, tree sap, road tar) sticks to your paint and doesn't spray off with a hose, they'll repaint that part of your Jeep. Hi gloss, no waxing ever. Makes you work harder on the trails to get your Jeep covered it mud. [/QUOTE

Unless your dealer unpackages them, the handles and garment hooks (if you have them) should be in plastic bags in the center console. Also, if you have dual tops you should find a small plastic bag with both the hold down straps for the sunrider and the rear window roll up hoops which snap into the soft top.

WillysGal Just found this on another thread here. Good info.

The Edmunds article "Confessions of an Auto Finance Manager" should be mandatory reading before you go into a dealership to buy a new car. A real eye opener for those of us with not inside experience.

I don't think mine comes with the garment hooks.

my grab handles were in the center conceal and Zurich is a bumper to bumper warranty I got it idk y never do but I went to the dealer with 200 mile on it yesterday cause of a noise and they said if I didn't have the warranty jeep doesn't give rental cars for warranty work. That doesn't make me to happy

Storage bag for Freedom Panels.

Possibly grab handles and garment hooks for the roll bar.

Not sure what zurich shield is. I opted for the Simonize coating that was offered at my dealership, never need to wax, stuff won't stick to the paint and a lifetime guarantee.

If you're going for the Max Care Warranty, telling them you can get it here for $1800 will help with the price. You can buy it anytime, so if they won't deal on it, let it go and keep your eyes open for people offering them here.

Yella No update for us. Still sitting in the parking lot outside the factory as far as I know. Ordered wheels, 35" MT tires, 3" lift kit, track bar and upgraded steering stabilizer and an AEV ProCal. That will relieve some of the tension of waiting for delivery of the jeep. Now I can start wondering what will come first.
Momma gon have a badaz jeep.

Same here, until I picked mine up, now I see about half as many. Either they all disappeared or the wait was making me hallucinate.

Sweet!!

I like the white...was my 3rd color choice (Amp'd, Copperhead, White). Funny thing...I hadn't planned to order an X until the day before I ordered mu Rubicon, and the Jeep website doesn't list Copperhead as a color choice for the X...so I was planning to go with Amp'd, my 1st choice, until the salesman confirmed he could order my X in Copperhead.

Yep, pretty accurate. I'm at 5.

I believe that the VOTS is no longer active for new orders. They are updating the system. You are going to have to call your dealer. I would explain to them that VOTS is no longer active and they are your only lifeline to info as IAMJEEP is worthless. Good luck!
