wingerdinger151 Not a soccermom, or a female for that matter, but I roll windows down everywhere I go due to the lack of A/C in my jeep and every jeep I see gets the full hand out the window cant miss it wave. Still get snubbed. I have huge hands. Seems like most of the soccermoms dont know what they have in a Jeep and dont realize its special

gburkett I'm a soccer dad, but most waves I get are ladies. Guys don't wave much here. My 11year old girl will spot jeep before me and tell me to wave.lol

That's funny. I almost mentioned a leg wave. Not that I've ever seen one. It just seems likely to have happened

You are not a JKU driving Jeep-waving soccer mom by any chance, are you?
Not a soccer dad, just another happy member. On of my goals in life is to appreciate what that guy appreciates. The closest thing I know of to off road adventures is boating.

There was a guy showed up to a lake late in the afternoon. One of those fishermen who was born on the wrong surface. He just looked natural on the water. Started out for an evening and bumped into a disabled boat. Used his fishing boat to haul it to shore as custom demands. Technically he could have begged off as his boat was smaller. When they came ashore, the rescue-ies discovered his whole time was towing and apologized. He smiled knowing that they didn't understand. He said "fishing, towed, being towed. All the same. Never a bad day".

Jeeps are medicine to me. The community, an asylum (with me included, hospital seems lofty ).

flowerfistandbestialwail I definitely wave at the odd modded Cherokee! My ex's first jeep was a lifted Cherokee and only when that thing bit the dust (at least, until someone more willing to put in the work picked it up) did he get his Wrangler. But the wave was something we learned about from our time with the Cherokee, so if they look like trail rigs they get a wave from me!

Dueeast My theory is; You get waves or waves back only if the other Jeep see's you. People excited about driving a Jeep tend to see other Jeeps, (hence the wave). But, if your just going through the motions, fixated on the car in front of you, you won't see another Jeep, much less someone waving.

kmrboston I'm here!!! I'm a soccer playing soccer mom of three girls and I wave! Only get waves back about 50% of the time and always from the men. Not sure if the other moms are just in their own little world while driving. My husband says I'm a little over zealous with noticing the other Jeeps though!

They wave like they mean it. I smile thinking of them.

A sad lesson I have learned is that there is a difference between "Jeep people" and "people who just happen to be driving a Jeep". (Yep, there's a story there).

The poll above has a misleading category of "To all Jeeps" when it really should be revised to (or another category added) Jeeps similar to yours such as YJ, TJ, CJ JK. It has been my experience that these are the ones that most frequently wave back. I don't wave to ALL Jeeps but do wave to all in the list just mentioned whether or not they are modded. Although I will admit that I usually only wave to a Cherokee that has been either modded or seen trail activity.

And what's up with those that say the four door does not wave back? It must be a local thing as most JKU's return the wave to me in my area.

I have only seen the wave from other Wrangler owners, but I will start looking for the modded Cherokee. I have also understood that the wave is only a Wrangler thing (the true Jeep)

Jeep-Waving Soccer Moms Unite!

Reading through the Official Jeep Wave poll thread, I began noticing a common theme - soccer moms driving JKU's don't wave...EVER. What? Hold up - I'm a soccer mom - I drive a JKU - I wave - what's everyone talking about?

So I got to thinking, could I really be the only one of my kind? Or maybe Jeep-waving soccer moms are just elusive (like Jason Bourne) or hidden in plain sight (like Waldo), but I believe they are out there!

So Jeep-waving soccer moms this thread is for YOU - step forward, confirm your existence, and help me clear up our reputation!!!

(God, I'm really hoping there's at least ONE more - lol!!!)

I've commented in the past that I've done the same thing. It started because I had a couple do it to me.

Jeep wave

I used to wave to all Jeeps (this is Jeep #6 for me) but over the years have realized that some Jeeps seem to be in a category by themselves. For example the Liberty, Patriot, and/or Grand Cherokee very seldom return a wave.

A sad lesson I have learned is that there is a difference between "Jeep people" and "people who just happen to be driving a Jeep". (Yep, there's a story there).

I forgot Wash ever said that. Lol.

As for the wave, if you want the wave to stay alive, just wave to the jeep, if its owner waves back sweet, if not, no harm no foul. And lately its the cjs that wont wave (im in a tj)

It wasn't confusing, it just seemed hypocritical. And that's why the stuck up mindset drives me nuts.

I mean, I know it's not you specifically, cause you wave at everyone. It's just the mindset there that bothers me.

Raoul That's what keeps me wondering.
Are they waving because of the jeep or because I'm pretty?
