I'm over on the northeast side of Houston by Crosby. I've been out to down south and place in splendora. Down south has a little too much deep holes for me. Splendora wasn't too bad still little to much mud for me.

I've been to General Sam's before. It's alright but it had a little too much mud for me. One thing about General Sam's is it kinda has a little bit of everything except rocks.
Hidden Falls is supposed to be one of the best but that's way over outside of Austin.

|HardRock15||I thought I'd resurrect this thread again. So I'm in League City as well and feel the need to have a little off road action. What's everyone found or been up too lately???|

|Jeeperate||Although not much, you could always head to Galveston and drive in the sand... I'm in Cypress area and not too much around here within short range, but I'm always willing to take a drive out and combine it with a camping trip. Last expedition was a weeklong trip to Big Bend. Fabulous, beautiful, huge park with plenty of easy off-roading. Could always head up to the Austin area as well.|

Houston area Jeepers! Check out Trees Offroad Park in Kerrville. Has several trails that accommodate rigs of all sizes.
Also if are not a fan of mud(like me), most of these trails are rock based.

But in all honestly you will have to drive over to the Austin area to get away from the Mud Trails. Marble Falls is a popular location.
