Basically they say that the stickers are there but if you don't sign up the tracking number isn't in the system so they are basically useless unless you pay for the service/insurance. *shrug*. Anyway the stickers leave some kind of mark/etch/residue on the Jeep where they are installed so that removing them, grinding them off, fire or acid, will not work, they can still tell the number somehow to prove it is/was your vehicle.

When I agreed to it, the finance guy had my sales guy get the number off of one of the stickers and attached a sticker to my paperwork and I can see them on the Jeep (hood, door jambs, tailgate and I think there was one on the frame).

Like I said, I pull out my paperwork tomorrow and let you know the name of the system/company, etc.
Thanks, Maxx. I know that wasn't presented as an option but then again, I didn't pay attention 100% during the sales pitch phase.

The Tread Lightly membership qualifies you for that program which
limits the price to no more than 1% below invoice and the $75 limit.

Absolutely correct. My salesguy told me this (unprompted no less!) when I placed my order, & 2 weeks later I saw this post by Pat@Fieldsauto.com (THE source for dealer insider info here on WF) which confirmed the fact:

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f274/is...ml#post9873673

IIRC, somewhere else (don't have the link handy) Pat said Chrysler not only credits the dealership the 1% but also throws them an extra 1% for their trouble—so pleepleus's stealership was truly scummy...overcharging him by $320...

I'm aware of four Copperhead X orders...myself, Scruff70, fegan, and AmIgone.

The best I can tell is that the trick thru the back door of VOTS must update about every 11-13 hours. Is that about right?

Good to see a 3/14 order coming thru.

Ours is sitting in Wentzville MO only about 15 miles from me. Been there a couple days best I know. It is only about 25 miles from my dealer. I am being told by my salesman he expects it next Wednesday the 30th.

It'll be my luck I get a call it will come in tomorrow and they say I can get it Saturday. I have wheeling plans for Saturday. You see, my Yella likes the trails.

I think they went with a different app. The Mopar owners companion app has all the same features and includes the 2014 Wrangler

MSRP includes dealer prep but most dealers will charge you an "admin/paperwork" fee. Tread Lightly membership limits this to $75, a fact I wish I knew when I signed on the dotted line, but I got a great deal regardless.

And for those keeping track, I opted to register my X with the security tracking. $249 is well worth the piece of mind.

I wonder exactly how many Copperhead Xs there will be...10? 20? 50? Can't imagine it would be higher than that since they never updated the Jeep website to offer it in that color...so who would think to order one. For me, it was dumb luck...they wrote up my order for Amp'd then I took a quick walk around the lot...saw a Copperhead Sahara and was SOLD on the color, asked them to change my order...only to get home to see the website didn't offer Copperhead. Was afraid my order would be rejected...but it wasn't and now I'm in here, WAITING.

I went with...

3.6L V6 24V VVT Engine
6-Speed Manual NSG370 Transmission
Color/Trim/Seating
Black Leather Trimmed Bucket Seats
Copperhead Pearl Coat
Dual Top Group
Other(s)
50 State Emissions
Customer Preferred Package 23J

Production Scheduled!

Ordered 4/15 and had VIN on 4/22 and is scheduled for production

RustyJK Called IAMJEEP on the way home from work, they couldn't find anything about an estimated ship date of the 26th, whether that's true or I just got one of the dumb ones I don't know. What I do know is I won't be calling them anymore.
