rykemc Thanks jeepers for your input. I got the contour roam and it does have an inferred beam that not only allows you to see where the device is aimed but also let's you know if it is level. Tried it out last night and the anti shake feature seems to be high quality. Didn't feel like I need to take Dramamine to watch the video. Picture quality seems very good as well. It was dusk out last night and we could still see a mile away in the distance. All in all, even though I have never used or seen the go pro, for half the price right now I would have to say the contour is just as good.

jeepers29 We found it much harder to get the camera to aim where we wanted it. It is hard to tell exactly where the lens is pointed. It also seems to have a very short battery life. We find it harder to tell what mode you are in as well. Keep in mind we bought it 2 years ago so changes may have been made. We also only use it when skiing, so no experience with the jeep. Quality wise, the picture is just as good as the go pro.

Just got a Contour Roan

Video camera for my jeep. Kind of like a gopro. Very excited to be able to video some of the trails and adventures in my jeep. Anyone have one of these that can give some advice?
