wrusty wrangler No more edit, I guess it took too long. Heres todays pics

I gave it some thought and decided to go with a 1" body lift. Its cheap enough and easier to do it when my jeep is like this. Any recommendations?

wrusty wrangler I installed the front of the lift kit today. I also cut the steering shaft mount off. I would have cut the motor mounts, but I was on my last sawzall blade and it was pretty much shot. I will borrow a grinder from work to smooth out the frame and then paint it over with undercoat so there is no evidence of the mounts.
pics to come shortly, when my girl uploads from her phone

wrusty wrangler pictures thus far

In the second picture, it looks like the toe is way out. Probably from my girls cell camera. I hope to have the motor mounts cut out this weekend and I will install the SYE on the transfercase also. I still need the wire harness for the 4.0. I won the bid on ebay, but the seller flaked out saying it was stolen. Whatever, I'm in no rush.

Whats up all! I'm from suffolk county NY. I have a 97 wrangler that was a DD and turned into a project as my 2.5 retired on me. So far I have a lockrite locker in the front dif and MTRs on stock steel. I have a 4.0 swap I am in the process of installing(yes I know whats involved). I owned 2 yjs before I bought this one and both were 4cyl. Since I have another vehicle to commute with, I plan to work on my TJ for the next month or two to get it up to snuff. At the same time I will be installing a Fabtech 4" lift.
