mjpjr45 Not required, but just about everyone has one. Carjacking is pretty rare around here. I wonder why.

I always thought in LA it was required to drive on the highways.

akc1955 When we lived in the UK they called it a "curry hook" and you saw them on almost every car. Like was mentioned above, they hold a plastic bag (with take-out food from an Indian restaurant, for example) and the bag swings through corners rather than tipping over and spilling all the sauce.

eta: you can actually find that part cheaper but that's the best description and pic of it.
I have the exact same setup, same gun, same holster, just no QD. I drilled 3 holes and bolted it right on.

TOK I didn't even think about it being a wire organizer... Since its just a plug for a non-equipped lighter, I thought they tried to make it look like a rocker switch cover.

Tweak Its to confuse drunk chicks looking for an outlet to charge their phone. Probably why mine is half broken.

Nope, just a trash bag, that came with the rear gate molle panel. I figured it worked better there.

O_M_Jeep I would guess it's to organize wires, like when you have your phone, her/his/their phones, ipad, laptop, whatever, the cords are always laying across things you seem to reach for only when there are cords in the way. Good idea Jeep.

woansleftpeg I have a 12V outlet there. I'm with RubiRambler, it will be a clip for holding papers which frankly would be more use to me than a 12V outlet.
06-17-2013 03:46 PM
Jag Isn't that a spot for an accessory outlet? I'm 95% sure I have one there.
06-17-2013 03:40 PM
Mule75 I guess they decided, better put a holder there than a blank.
06-17-2013 03:40 PM
RubiRambler Paper holder for delivery drivers... at least that's what our van has
06-17-2013 03:38 PM
Justin_Griffith Two very possible options! I was confused when saw it, just wasn't sure if it had a purpose.
06-17-2013 03:35 PM
cheap4tw You can hang your wet socks there to dry?
06-17-2013 03:34 PM
Dusthol Trash bag holder? Idk. I have an outlet there
