jpdocdave don't forget pads, no sense in leaving anything out, its best to have two new braking surfaces whenever changing anything.

CombatCarlson it feels like the caliper is seizing on one side. im wondering if after extended driving and brake use if heat is an issue. i know if water gets in the brake line, it can cause excess pressure due to boiling, but if this were the case wouldnt this happen on the other side?

right now i plan to replace calipers, rotors, and hoses. just wanted to make sure im not missing any key causes of this symptom.

jpdocdave usually is a caliper seizing or a brake hose collapsed. honestly, the best thing to do to avoid further problems is replace both sides front calipers, pads, rotors, and hoses.

brake issue

having a small problem with my brakes. after driving for a while (about an hour and a half) the front left brake locks up on me.

its normal city traffic, so im using the brakes often, ive also noticed the rotors are a little warped, so im getting ready to change those out as well as the shoes.

just wondering if there would be any other reason just 1 side would lock up and not the other?
