dawhitesJKU i can't wait to get mine too. I have 1 more wheeling session this week on stock suspension and have to take the easy routes until mine arrives.

dawhitesJKU update...i just called 4wp to check status on my order. they said my jks quick disco's are in, as well as my exhaust spacers. the RE 2.5 will take a another week or two to come in. i shouldve ordered from one of our vendors. i waited a month for my last kit that i ordered from 4wp but that was with free install.

thanks. My buddy who really got me into the scene with a prerunner setup has a 99 XJ w/ 6.5 in coils at 300 spring rate. bump stops, high steer track bar w/ RE quick disco w/ ball n pivot hem joints all around. Custom RE Long arm kit w/ transfer case (upgraded diameter of the tubes to handle the whoops). Race runner coil over reservoirs w/ nitrogen and hydrogen gas set at 75psi compression and 45 rebound. Gives 18 in of travel in all 4. all it needs is roll bar 8 point Don and fuel cell.

That RE kit can handle 100db of me screaming at the passenger seat doing 120mph jumps. if the long arm can handle that kind of abuse, i feel confident that it will be more than enough for my JK

This is a great lift kit. I replaced the factory bumpers with much heavier bumpers also added winch and side steps and it holds great, I didn't noticed any drop at all.
Yupp my credit cards gonna scream this month lol looks great that lift is mine! Lol

dawhitesJKU ^compression/rebound characteristics have been altered to match onroad/offroad ride quality to match the re spring rates.

I wish I would have known this information last week! I just ordered this lift, but I opted to get Rancho 7000 monotube shocks instead because I figured the Rubicon Express shocks were rebranded junk.

D'oh!

What do they mean it's "specially tuned?"

And with the new 315/70R17 Duratracs:

dawhitesJKU ^the front trackbar is a plus when going a lil higher than 2.5. With the 3.5, geometry will be altered a lil more... front lowers control arms, and rear uppers may be needed. drive it around first before getting them. also, if planning to go offroad, i would have some extra $$ saved for a front driveshaft if the oem starts to fail. adams driveshaft would be the best bang for the buck.

DatacomGuy Not to thread hijack.. But i'm REALLY thinking about RE 3.5 standard.. Any experience here in this thread with this one?

Lol man i tell you what if i had a dollar for every single time i changed my mind as to what i wanna do with this thing it would probably pay for the lift lmao. Now im thinking about just doing a regear first so i can put 35's on and not be a dog lol. I Technically already have a 2" lift. Its just one of the doo coil spacer ones :/

dawhitesJKU gotcha...thanks derf.
06-13-2013 12:15 PM
derf You should be OK. Getting the rear bump stops on after the fact isn't hard. Doing the fronts later will probably require that you pull the springs, set the bump stop in place with the spring and putting them in together. But that's no different than doing them that way in the first place.
06-13-2013 10:43 AM
dawhitesJKU hey guys, I'm not planning to upgrade to 35's anytime soon and I'm sticking with my current 285/70/17s. Do I still need to install the front/rear bumpstops or will I be ok under full flex?
06-12-2013 09:52 PM
dawhitesJKU ^believe me...I was gonna ask u the same that's y I checked out ur profile lol.
