I'm not sure how the regular top vs premium top is, but I can tell you that my premium top is really nice and is almost as quiet as my hardtop, even at speed on the highway. If you are only going to have one, I'd go with the premium top. I've heard that the regular tops are much thinner (less noise isolation) and buffet quite a bit, especially at speed.
Also, I wouldn't get the tow package - it's insane what they charge to put a simple 4-bolt hitch on the back. You get everything except the hitch itself and a wiring harness with the 3.73 and LSD package alone. Then you can go to amazon and pick up the hitch and wiring harness for $60 and do it yourself. Plus, a lot of the aftermarket bumpers have 2" receivers already built into them, making your stock hitch obsolete anyway.
I would highly recommend the connectivity package - I really didn't want it either, but it was already on the one that I ended up getting and I can honestly say I use the shit out of it. I probably make 90% or more of my calls driving around in the Jeep now, stream music from pandora on my phone and all kinds of crap I didn't see myself doing prior to having it. It is money well spent compared to the pain in the ass I have in my F-150 having to charge the BT headset and plugging in the connector to the aux plug in the jack to use Pandora or the iPod. You don't realize how nice those creature comforts are until you have to jack with the old ways of doing things...... I know - 1st world problems.....
Anyway, my two cents and congrats on the purchase....... get ready to spend some more money once you get it!

If you think you're going to want good sound in your Jeep, order the most basic head unit you can (the non-Sirius 130). If you don't have any interest in upgrading the audio yourself, get the 430.
Whichever direction you go, get the Connectivity group. Even if you plan to put in your own audio, Connectivity gives you EVIC which I'm really pissed that I didn't get.

3.73, Anti-slip rear and the tow package sounds pretty good! All in all that shouldn't be too hard on the wallet for those three.
Also I am getting the soft top only, is there any benefit in getting the 'premium' soft top? I will be leaving it on in all four seasons if that helps.

As for the uconnect hands free, we just bought a 2013 Dodge caravan and it has this (came with ours at no extra cost), and it is really nice for calls. I believe to have this for the Jeep it is a $700 package which comes with the leather wheel and shifter?. I may no be inclined to spend that much on this option bu it is handy none the less! I would rather put $700 into a new set of wheels as the stock comes with the beautiful 16" steelies on 225 75 tires....haha

|yacc||Personally, I'd get Bluetooth/connectivity. Aftermarket systems I have dealt with never work as well as factory options. My factory Bluetooth works surprisingly well, even with the top off. If I were to buy another Jeep, it'd be a deal breaker for me.|

So total Jeep noob here went out last week and ordered myself a 2014 JK Sport bone stock with a soft top! Went with black (yeah I'm boring...haha).
So being super excited I have been reading many threads on here and found out, DAMN I may have missed a few things I may need! The one thing that I really want is the 3.73 upgrade vs the 3.21 that comes standard. If I had not been reading this forum I would have totally missed that and would have been regretting it later on!
Called my dealer up today and told him I am coming in tomorrow to make the changes before Jeep starts the factory build on my ride.
Right now I want the 3.73 upgrade for sure but is there any other upgrades (packages) that I would really want before I go in tomorrow and make the changes? Like I said I am a noob and never even knew about gear ratio's until now. I know that packages are very personal choices but is there anything else that I should REALLY get on my sport that I will regret later on?
