wrusty wrangler Its worth a shot, but if you want to try changing out the wiper switch and upgrade to intermitant wipers, buy a switch off ebay that has intermitant. Search under neon in your same year and it will be cheaper. The neon has the same wiper switch, but people always ask more if they are selling one they took out of a jeep

T-BONE N BIXBY I know they are totally different, but chevy trucks from 88-94 have similar wiper motor problems too. On the chevy trucks, there is a connection in the wiper motor that comes loose and needs to be re-soldered to get a clean connection. I wonder if this is the same case with your JEEP? (NOT CAR) I sure wouldn't think your issue is going to be a huge expense.
Wait for Jerry to answer this one...he'll probably know the solution.

Odd Wiper Problem...

I've searched the forum and saw some similar posts, but not really one that matched...

My wiper problem is very random: I have a 98 (2 speed wipers, no intermittent option) and the wipers just randomly work. Sometimes only the fastest speed works, sometimes they don't work at all. They USUALLY work fine, but sometimes I turn the car on and they won't do anything. Thanks to the good people at Rain-X I haven't been totally screwed, but I would like to fix this. New motor? New wiper switch? any ideas?
