Greener than green to Jeeps
Hi everyone. Never owned a Jeep before. Last week was picking up parts from a supplier (lives on a farm) and he said, "....see, like that Jeep over there, we should sell it. My wife doesn't drive it anymore. I don't know, I should ask $1,000 or $1,500 for it and get it out of here." The wheels in my head turned that night. A couple of days later I stopped by and asked if he was serious about the Jeep and offered him $1,000. SOLD!
I'm now the owner of a '95 Wrangler SE 4.0 manual w/hard top and 74,000 miles. runs great but after driving it 30 miles home and around town for a couple of days, the clutch is acting up. first noticed it on the way home when it was hard getting into gear. Then it was okay for a day, then hard again. Sunday night at the gas station - fortunately just around the corner, the pedal went soft - no more clutch. I tried bleeding the slave cylinder but no luck. I don't see any leaks and the reservoir has plenty of fluid. Oh joy!!! Once I get over this hump, I'm sure I'll enjoy having it.
