Dextreme This isn't going to answer your question, but I welded a chain to the top of mine so that I had balancing options.

Looking for homemade hardtop hoist measurement?

I am currently making my own hardtop hoist. I am using this picture as a diagram to what I want it to look like. And I need to now the measurement of where that eyelid goes onto the back bracket. How far back from the back glass is the eyelid, that will hold the rope I am going to use to lift the top. The eyelid has to be somewhat center, so that when the top is raised it is level. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.
