jeepnfool Yep, blackwater has a few places to camp on lakes as well. Look up munson fl and hurricane lake..

kevinwiningar Blackwater State Forest has some great trails and primitive camping. Red Rock Rd in munson is the first one that comes to mind.

BayouCaneTJ I prefer primitive camping and enjoy the isolation and serenity and peace that it provides. There was no isolated primitive camping area that most state parks provide. You may enjoy it, if you dont mind RVs surrounding you and constant patrol of the camp host nit-picking about silly site rules (I had a wet blanket hanging over a site marker post to dry, and she woke me up at sunrise to tell me that it was against policy to do so).

What was the problem with Fort Pickens I was thinking of camping there.

Pcola area camping

Anyone have suggested primitive camping locations near Pensacola? Not familiar with the area, but headed there in two weeks. Camped Ft Pickens once and will not return. Ideally would have some trail access, but not necessary.
