1993YJr Never heard of pinching the exhaust pipe. I'll try the comp cams approach and look into the other. Thanks for the answers.

C.L. Pinch your exhaust pipe; a bit of back pressure will help the low end torque.

roadyrob check comp cams, they have a cam selector program where you enter your motor specs

1991 4.0 lower max torque rpm

I need help picking a cam to lower the max torque from 4000 to a usable 1800 to 3000.
