We jacked up the jeep to get it off of the dirt pile and I got underneath of it to start shoveling the dirt out...but then I noticed the jack was leaning at an odd angle and I got a flash of the jeep falling on my head and pinning my face into the dirt. I figured I had embarassed myself enough so I crawled back out, haha

Anytime. Works out well anyways because my wife is obsessed with turtles. I can count over six statues, pictures or stuffed animals within then seconds of walking within my house.

giles45shop Here's one of my favorites - Almost flipped the turtle on its lid

Was backing up to try a different line and the drivers front dropped in a huge hole and wedged the front tire up against a rock. A winch line on the back passenger corner brought me back down.

Appreciate it! It was a good thread, ballooned into something much bigger than I thought it would.

On an unrelated note, can I change my login to reflect my new name?

Duckquackers 3 piece shovels save your arse and good to have. I keep a SOG tomahawk and a deployment shovel in The Gimpster at all times. Great post and good times my friends.

jickey Reminds me of when I was a kid - my "uncle" (close family friend, very distant relation) had a Dodge Power Wagon - he loved to brag that it COULDN'T get stuck. Yeah, and the Titanic was unsinkable, right? Well, way down deep in our pasture, there was a creek crossing that he kept tore to hell and back proving he couldn't get stuck...and then came the floods. We had to go check the fence at the creek crossings in the back 40, so he piled me in there and we took off. He knew he'd need speed to make it through the approach to the creek, and my head hit the ceiling, then the windshield (what were seatbelts in the 80's?) since we had come to a COMPLETE stop. All four wheels spinning in the air because he was bottomed out on the skid, looking just like that turtle in the pic. Lucky for him he had a shovel and beer, because he got to sit in the shade and watch as I dug the sand and mud out from under the truck :|

Just goes to prove - no tires, lockers, or anything will help when those tires can't bite
