thanks I was thinking 1/8 was a little on the thick side.
I ordered the rear floor repair pans from C2C should be here in a few days.
Hopefully i can use them to repair the rust damage it is really not that bad except for the one driver side. and was thinking of using some sort of roll on bed liner on the underside to prevent future rust.

^ that makes sense for sure.
Also, when your all done be sure to paint the steel/bolts/nuts undernieth so they don't start rusting again on ya from the underside.

If I were doing it, 1/8" would be plenty. Actually the steel that I use for body panel replacement is 16 GA. It is about twice as thick as standard body tin.
Cut out the bad parts and replace with your choice of steel, the thicker that you decide to use, the harder it will be to weld without burning thru on the original steel.
When I did mine, I re-drilled for the roll bar bolts, and made a plate that fit under the body to "sandwich" the repaired section and give it more support. The vertical part on mine was good and solid, so it made it easy to re-align the roll bar.

rust under roll bar mount?
Ok everyone took the roll bar out to get ready to monstaliner the tub instead of carpet.
Found horrible rust completely through under driver side, passenger side not to bad, searched online only found complete floor pan replacement parts from Quadratec.
Do not need to replace entire floor pan only a good 4 x 6 inch piece any ideas?
I do have access to a welder and I am not to bad with a MIG.
Suggestions on thickness of sheetmetal 1/8?
Should I just not worry about bolt holes and plan on running bolts through and putting a nut on from underneath?
