Get the battery tested. If it's junk, go buy a Diehard Platinum.

|Jerry Bransford||Have the battery load tested by a competent battery dealer. When the battery is dead or nearly dead, the engine won't run/idle. The alternator runs off/requires 12v from the battery so if the alternator is not getting enough power from the battery, it can't power the ignition so the engine dies. The days of being able to run the engine without a battery are long-gone... most other vehicles are like that now too.|

|2004CSOTP||Mine did the same thing today. Cranked slow and I had to hold the gas to keep it idling for about a minute. The battery was toast. Trickle charge it overnight and then get it tested. It's probably no good, but it's worth testing.|

I think it is my battery but idk.. when i start my jeep its sounds slow to start like the battery is low. So i disconnect the battery and charge it for 8 hours. Then I connect the battery and try and start it and it dies right after it starts. But if i play with the gas pedal it stays running. After doing that for about a min it stays running. Any ideas?
