|Ironman||3"-4" is about the limit for short arms. In my own experience, when I wanted to go from 35" tires to 37's, I wanted to go from a 4" lift to a 6". I knew I could get away with going that high because I have full width axles. So I decided to go with a RE long arm kit. I have never been sorry. It rides good and wheels great. If I were in you shoes, I would think about the RE 3.5 long arm kit. This way if you ever do decide to install bigger tires and go taller, you will already have the right lift with better geometry. Something to think about.|

|Ironman||Willysmb. Are you wanting a good street mannered lift because it's a daily driver?|

I have the best riding lift on the planet.. It is a 4" stage 1 with ES3000 shocks..
Well.... it didn't ride real nice then, but when I added RE upper adjustable control arms front and rear and fixed lowers, this jeep rides like an absolute dream.. My buddy just put the RE4.5 Super Flex and you guys are correct; he is like an easy inch taller than me, but the ride is very sloppy for my liking.. He installed Pro Comp Mx6 shocks (which I will be buying soon) and like I said, it is just too sloppy.. I love the stiffness of the Pro Comp Springs, but before the control arms, it was a little more like a log-wagon.. She is real nice and it as quiet as a mouse now..

check into dpgoffroad.com.. they got very nice suspension packages that will handle perfectly..
RE has great products too.. the main things will be the shocks, correct suspension geomotry (sye/ adjustable trackbars, ect) RE, OME, clayton, and RK are the better brands

I just put in a Rubicon Express superflex 3.5" lift, Sits to be 4" or even a little more. The RE 4.5 will sit to be about 5" or more.
The ride will also depend on shocks. Alot of people swear by the OME shocks, as well as RE's Mono Tubes. I went with the Bilstein 5100's witch would be another great option.

best street manored 4" suspension lift
Thinking ahead here a little.Throwing some money at my 97 tj sahara. It has a 7 year old 2 1/2 " OME lift with poly lift blocks on top of the springs,1 3/4 " front,1 1/4" rear.So I basically have a half assed 4 " suspension kit.Ive just regeared and replaced my 10.5x 31 BFG Ats with 12.5x33x15 MTR,s on new black steel wheels.Added warn 6 " flares, looks great.Going to add a 1 1/4 JKS body lift and MML.Now Im wondering if I should get rid of the suspesion lift and install a RE 4 1/2 with new control arms? I would like the best street manored lift I could get.Do some 4 " kits ride better than others?
