I hear ya, was down there last week for their "storm". Was driving south towards San Diego in a flash flood and everyone was crawling....then saw a tow truck pulling a BMW with no front wheels out of the ditch.

I've also come to realize something...there is a decided lack of Jeeps along the southern California coastline. I've been here for five days and I can count on both hands the number of Jeeps I've seen. Y'know what's popular here? Fiats. Whole mess of 'em. Back home there's a Wrangler parked on damn near every block! Granted, the majority belong to urbanites and will never see dirt (with the exception of the construction in their local Safeway parking lot). I just really expected to see a lot more of 'em down here. Guess that's why my waves are almost never returned in Kelowna, but most were down here.
Interesting. ...I wouldn't have expected to see Fiats...of all choices.
