CA won't say anything about 1' sticking out. I have about 2 1/2" sticking out and have never been bothered.

Thanks for the pic! Your jeep looks nice. MC's are looking sexy!

I had my heart set on the cooper STT tire but if it really comes down to it, I may just have to suck it up and go with a the duratrac (assuming they have those in a 33x10.5x15). Kind of a bummer but I'm all for better gas milage and easier driving.
Id take the bfg at kos over the duratracs.....and they do come in 33x10.5's

I have what you're looking for but no flare attached. Hopefully you aren't in PA because they won't pass you for inspection with cloaks on. I'm stopped regularly out by Rausch Creek by the local PD but I'm from VA where we don't legally require any coverage.

Kick ass rim IMO but it comes in a 15x8 with 3.5 inch backspacing. It's this just sticking out unnecessarily far? I don't know how it will look, any head on pictures? To be legal here I must have full tire coverage What size backspacing should I get if 3.5 is just too much? I want 0 rubbing, I'm not putting washers in my steering. Just want it to work Thanks!!

BTW it's an '04 TJ sport with stock everything including suspension. The metalcloak fenders will allow me to run 33's on stock...
With 6" MC flares, 15x8 rims with 3.5" backspacing and 33x12.5" tires you will stick outside the flares by about an inch and a half. If your trying to keep the tread fully under the flares for legality purposes then go with a 33x10.5" wide tire.

33x10.5's have alot of advantages, they weigh less, tend to balance out better, have less road noise(ie: smoother on road) when driving around town, and can actually have better grip while offroading through the mud an dirt.

my996duc1 6" flare and you should be fine.

Here is mine with 4" flares on 15x8 rims with 3.5" of BS and a 12.5 wide tire.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it! You should be fine with the 6" flare. And I know what you mean, I didn't need the coverage here in NC and ended up breaking one of the flares so I just swapped my stockers back on. But I think 6" Metalcloaks look pretty sick!

NCJeepin I have ION Alloy wheels with 33x12.5. Here's a picture from when I had 6" flares. Not much of the tread at all still stuck out (probably 1/4" maybe) but the ballooned sidewall stuck out.

techflork thanks guys, yeah I can't seem to find a good, cheap rim I like. I'm not breaking the bank for rims, but I gotta like them too.

n00g7 4.5 flares w/ 5" of BS is flush with 10.5's. You're adding approx 1" in tire and 1.5" in BS, so it'll stick out by around an inch if you're using the 6" flares.

I believe anything 4" or less will work for 12.5 tires, but I've looked (a lot) and can't find a wheel I like that's more that 3.625 ish -- was looking as close to 4 as possible.

Going with these on the 6" flares FWIW, 3.625 BS.. no inspection though

n00g7 Call and ask, they're helpful. You will need to go with the 6" flares, that's for sure.
