Zdrisko Start your engine, clutch in. Put your foot on the brake, hold it and release the clutch slowly but all the way. It should kill the engine. If it doesn't, your clutch is bad. If it does, you have other issues.

03 sahara jeeper Sounds like your clutch and the only way to find out is to pull your transmission. You can also check your slave cylinder to make sure it is OK.

Jeep21 This same thing just happened to my 97' just yesterday. I'd like to hear what people have to say, hope you don't mind me sharing this.

Is My Clutch Bad!?

Question jeepers!

I have a 97' TJ and I think my clutch just went out on me today! Its really hard to push in and feels like theres a lot of resistance. I checked the fluid and its full and the cable appears ok, its not broken. Do you think it could be the clutch plate? And how can you tell? Thanks.
