B86W05 03 thru 06 has different mounting hardware

daanbc I have an 00 TJ Sahara, the rear seat flips up, then when you want to remove it you just unclip one of the hair-pin clips on either side. The seat then just slides out.

stevens243 My 2K TJ had pins in the seat that slid into the clips in the tub.

My 06 has a completely different setup as described in post 2.

I've never tried it, but I don't believe my 00 seats would fit in the 06 unless I also took the hardware out of the tub to go along with it.

I had no idea, so I asked Dustin in customer service, and he's not 100% positive what the car seat hookups are. He wanted me to tell you that all our rear seats use the original seat belts.

You can always send him a photo of what the car seat hook ups look like and he'll give you a better answer. csbestop@bestop.com

Sorry for being vague - sometimes it's hard to picture all the little variations in all the vehicles. Also, I think Dustin hears "baby seat" and some little part of him just shuts down.

toplessartist I have an '00 and an '03... the only difference I can find is that the '03 seat removes easily, just flip a few levers and pull it out, the '00 only flips forward (*%#**@&%!!). Unless there's a trick I couldn't figgur out. So, OffRDer, it must be incompatible based on the mounting hardware. I'll be lurking to see who says otherwise, as I would like to know as well.

Difference with Rear seats

Hey everyone, im curious if anyone know the difference between the rear seat in a 97-02 TJ and the 03-06 TJ, because i wanted to get the split rear folding seat bench, and they all say for 97-02...im sure its just a width issue, but i wanna know if the mounting points are different or anything else. Thanks
