But now I'm going to order some new fenders anyway within a week or so. The new ones will be all painted and nice when they are put on. Can't wait!

|Owen_TJ||My girlfriend loves the jeep as well...she's game for whatever on it, in a way, a wife would be nicer lol...less bills would fall solely on me so I'd have some extra for the jeep lol|
|06-30-2013 04:09 PM|
|Steve2012||Really my wife loves the tj, after all I was driving a 4 inch lifted yj when we met over 15 years ago, guess she is a jeep girl at heart, lol. Plus with a wife, things like suspension, steering, brakes, drivetrain and tires are considered "maintenance". Just have to know how to work them into the conversation.|
|06-30-2013 03:45 PM|
|Owen_TJ||Luckily I have no wife lol...girlfriend is almost as expensive though!!!|
|06-30-2013 03:30 PM|
|Steve2012||That should finish yours up until you find something else you need, lol. Yeah I don't want to list everything mine "needs", might depress me to much. Just have to keep working around the "mods" the wife has for the house.|
|06-30-2013 03:18 PM|
I'd be super angry haha...
I'm right there with ya, though. Here are the parts I need still in order for my jeep to be where I want her:
8.8 axle (will have within a month or two)
4.88 gears (within a month or two with the axle)
High clearance tcase skid
High clearance gas tank skid
3/4 spacers to even out the weight
Fold down tailgate
Black/red seat covers
Then should be done for a while lol...
|06-30-2013 02:52 PM|
|Steve2012||And a d44 with the lift. Amazing I ordered factory build sheet from Chrysler, my jeep had a factory 44 and for some reason prev owner felt it was a good idea to replace it with a d35???|
|06-30-2013 02:38 PM|
|Steve2012||Yes eventually, shooting for sye/drive shaft, upper/lower adj ca's first of year. Then start on fenders and other cosmetics a little at a time after that. It will get there sooner or later.|
|06-30-2013 02:22 PM|
Are you going to run a sye as well??
|06-30-2013 02:19 PM|
|Steve2012||Thanks for the info, I was going with the zone 4 inch, should have in next month or so. Again, very good looking. Similar to the future of mine, one day...|
|06-30-2013 02:12 PM|
|06-30-2013 02:11 PM|
Thanks a lot, man...I didn't have to at all lol...my 32s had 14/32 left on two and 9/32 on the other two lol.
Zone 3" SL (got 3.75 after it settled, actually)
Zone 1.25 body lift
1" mml (no tcase drop)
Smitty tube fenders
Xenon 6" flat read flares

|TheDesertOutlaw||Your Jeep looks great! After selling my last set of tires, my set of used BFG AT/KOs set me back a whopping $325 - for a virtually new set of tires.|
|06-30-2013 02:05 PM|
|Steve2012||That looks very good! Curious, what size lift is that? I "kinda had" to put 35's on mine also, needed tires bad, good deal on on bfg's. Getting by now with 2" sl and 1.25 bl, about to change to 4" suspension. Wondering what yours has?|
|06-30-2013 12:29 PM|
Definitely similar!!! Looks great, man!
you should get some black paint out and paint the fender well in the front...that way it'll match with the rest of the black fender
just a thought...
did mine a while back (you can kind of see in the pics how its all blacked out)
|06-30-2013 10:12 AM|
Distant cousins maybe lol.
|06-30-2013 03:27 AM|
overall its a bad decision for me to run them on my d35 but...well...i wanted them and couldnt help it lol. I'll pick up an 8.8 and some 4.88's in the very near future.
just gonna baby the d35 and 4.10's at the moment
|06-30-2013 03:08 AM|
You lucked out on those 35's though. When I had my truck I was running 35's and it cost me about $300 PER tire to replace them - and you got out of the deal for 275! WOW High-Five!
I wish I could throw some 35's on there, but cant currently find someone to take care of something as simple as fixing my ACE rock sliders. 35's are still way down the road for me =/
|06-30-2013 01:10 AM|
Our jeeps look very similar.
|06-30-2013 12:56 AM|
|trojaneuph||I need to change my undies now. Nice rig dude!|
|06-30-2013 12:21 AM|
Thanks man...now just planning to pick up the axle and the gears in the very near future
After that then it's high clearance skid time!
So far they've been just fine...don't notice anything in terms of decreased accel in town over my 32s
Can't wait for the 4.88s though
|06-29-2013 07:53 PM|
|thgr8alex||Wow that looks fantastic! Good decision haha|
|06-29-2013 05:31 PM|
Well...apparently my impatience got the best of me regardless of the votes lol...
Showed up, got a 100 dollar rebate, free install, free alignment, and have someone picking up my old set of 32's for 500...so, out the door the new tires cost me 275 with an alignment.
I dont notice any difference in terms of acceleration so thats a good deal...
Without further ado, here we are:
|06-29-2013 05:18 PM|
yeah, i've been at the bank for about 3 years now and really like it
I hated it at first, left for 8 months to do something else, then realized i had it really good and went back to the same bank in the same position...they also gave me a 5200 dollar raise to come back lol.
If i do it, i'll just have to up my game and bonus out the remaining two quarters for the year and get a nice tax return...
|06-29-2013 03:58 PM|
If the axle install is a definite thing in february then go for it. Credit card with zero interest and your willing to use it for repairs if needed?...eh what the hell.
Being a personal banker I'll assume you don't need any debt advice lol.
Change my vote to yes.
|06-29-2013 02:54 PM|
basically i can jsut get them at a good deal at the moment due to being able to sell my current set while they're still good unlike if they were bald/cut/punctured.
I will be running a ford 8.8 axle with 4.88's and will be doing a super 30 kit up front...i already upgraded my steering and have a manual so i'm not too worried about the brakes due to being able to engine brake.
The axle and gears will come around February...guy will install the 8.8 with 4.88 gears front and rear for 1700 (axle and parts included)
|06-29-2013 02:51 PM|
i stopped reading at "Currently only running a d30/d35 setup" and voted for the second option
35s is a whole new level unlike 31s to 33s, fixes/upgrades can be done gradually on the smaller tires but for 35s everything should be done the right way and all at once.
|06-29-2013 02:42 PM|
Birthday is August 4th...good ol 27 yrs old
as for the 100 rebate, its only good yesterday/today/tomorrow
Apparently a customer ordered them, then decided against them, so they're just sitting on them at the moment. Maybe they can hook me up with free install or something or a free alignment (my alignment is jacked).
Who knows...i'm not too worried about it, although they would definitely look good though!!!
|06-29-2013 02:37 PM|
I was a "NO" vote until you said it was your birthday month in August.
I voted yes, but with the following caveat: Yes, if you buy them in August (provided your $100$ rebate doesn't end first) when it is your birthday.

|Rubicondon53||It's a bit different, but I blew through 2 axles on my off road trailer before I finally saw the light and installed a 3,700 lb ezlube axle.. Hindsight is after all 20/20... The axles are the foundation of anything with wheels, get your foundation taken care of first... You can always buy the tires on sale and store them..|
