AllMudd Not completely sure but I know any YJ with the 2.5l and ax5 came stock with 4.10 gears not sure tho with an auto. Have fun with this build and always remember what JEEP stands for.

95 YJ build

I got my first jeep a 95 YJ from my aunt in December, couldn't beat the free price tag my aunt had for me. It was supposedly in good condition except for having a blown motor, she seemed to think oil changes were optional in a 2.5l but turns out the frame was bad. I just got a new frame and am going ground up with it, but I don't have time and funding to do everything I want with it right away because it will serve as a dd mainly but will see occasional off-roading and my motorcycle just can't cover for it during the winter.

So far I have:
2.5" suspension lift
1" body lift
Running 2.5l motor (I plan on a full engine swap hopefully next summer)
3.73 and 4.10 geared axles (need to decide which set to use, opinions?)

I have the auto tranny/tc that came with it but can get a good ax5/tc for $150 so I've been back and forth (please don't turn this into a debate I've read enough of those already lol). I plan on running 31" tires. I'm sure there's more that I'm not thinking of at the moment but I wanted to see if anyone had advice or thoughts on additions/options that I may not have thought of.
