szewczyd lol yes yes on the straps... My one buddy who does car hauling damn near fell over when he sawthe pic. It is actually only 4 straps, but all the loose ends we tied in the same place. Hopefully a fun project... Once I can get finally started.

szewczyd Finally worked out a deal and time and brought it home this last Sunday. Haven't been able to touch it yet, hoping to be able to move it into my shop this week, but then will be out of town all weekend. Worked out well waiting a couple weeks as I got it for less and got a car trailer with it.

szewczyd I did not end up picking it up. I went to check it out and on the way up found a killer deal on a 4x4 ATV that couldn't turn down. I still want to get the Jeep and fix it up over winter just waiting on some additional funds and if he still has it will pick it up.

4Jeepn Well, it needs better axles, and its way too tall.. drop down to some 2.5" springs... swap in a rear 14 bolt or ford 10.25 axle(which have 35 spline shafts vs the 60 which most likey only has 30 splines) then ditch the front dana 44 for a front 60 with added 35 spline outer and you might start to have a decent project on your hands.

I'd rather do that. Saves money and a lot of times saves time .

Move along and find a nice, clean, unmolested Jeep if you want something reliable and that won't cause you issues- Rule of thumb around the Jeeper community.

I do understand it could cost more to fix someone's issues in the long run but that is where I just need to really give it my best look over I can.

szewczyd I am not all concerned with the street legality of it, as the only time it will be on any type of roads it will be up north in the middle of nowhere and primarily dirt.
07-01-2013 09:51 AM
JACK3D It says with a little work, it'll be street legal. I'd go for it.
07-01-2013 09:45 AM
mckey73 No headlights and it's street legal?
07-01-2013 09:40 AM
Michigan jeeper I'd do it!

Jeep Considering to Buy TONIGHT!!

Here is a link to a Jeep I have been watching for awhile, and chatting back and forth with him and have it down in the $3,500. But that sounds to be the bottom for price. I plan on this being a complete toy rig for playing around with as it is replacing my ATV. He mentions being able to drive it but I would be trailering everywhere other then when up at my cabin. Let me know your thoughts/opinions and things to look for.
