Peter T Ok picked up parts. No idea of bolts to hold bracket to roll bar. Took parts guy to show room open door on new jeep and showed him what I needed. He went and got a ratchet pulled one out went out back and handed me a hand full . All set to start the soft top install.

Great thanks for the reply. I am heading down to the dealer before work to pick up the brackets. Might have to take him by the hand to the Jeep in the show room and show him the screws and bolts.

Peter T Ok just left dealer. Parts will be in tomorrow. Now the question. Anyone with a 2013. The dealer has no screws showing for the bracket to roll bar or bracket to soft top. The computer shows screws and a screws with a shoulder that stops at 2012. Does not show what is on the 2013.

I checked the back of his jeep before we left. 3 hour drive to save a bunch of money. Who ever took the soft top off for him didn't tell him about the brackets. I email him telling him about the grab handles and missing brackets and screws. If he ever wants to deliver the parts he can pick up the grab handles.

1. Just a heads up, the first time you put the soft top on, you'll want to rip your hair out. The top is REALLY tight like I can't exaggerate that anymore. Just be patient and after a while it'll go on really easily.

2. Maybe contact the seller again and give him back the roll bar grab handles? I don't think he knew that they come with the Jeep since they are hidden among the hardware for the soft top. Just a thought, if I was in your position I would return them.

Happy Canada Day!

Stealership quoted me $2349 for a new premium soft top for my 2012. That's Canadian. Picked up the 2 week old never used top for $900 no tax. So a trip to parts counter will still be under the cost of new.

lolpetewtf Yes but I did not want the headache of figuring out what parts were missing. I was talking to this guy on CL and he said it was all there because I was going to buy used originally. Then he emailed me back telling me its missing something but he can't remember what it was. I was like f that, buying new.

Peter T Thanks for the help. I guess it's off to the dealer for left and right brackets and 8 screws. 4 per side. Oh wait everything closed today. I guess I have a project for tomorrow.

BadOleRoss Yes, you are likely missing the bracket that attached to the roll bar that the bracket you have pictured hangs on. Here is a picture of the bracket on the drivers side taken from the area of the driver side back seat.
EDIT: Orientation of the picture is off for some reason, thumb should be on the right side of picture.

New Soft Top

I just went out and bought a soft top from a 2 week old 4 door wrangler. The guy I bought it from had everything sitting in his office. The 2 boxes where not open yet and the orange sticker was still warped around the soft top. He said everything was there that he knew of. He had dealer disconnect and leave it in the back of his jeep. I got home and opened the boxes and found he had the roll bar grab handles in the boxes. The only thing I didn't find was a way to hook it to the roll bar. Anyone have a parts list that I may be missing. There was a bag with the door surrounds 4 long 2 short hand bolts for the surrounds. I think I am missing something to anchor to roll bar.
