Thanks for the great info

Big Fran I was lucky about a month ago and got a premium soft top for $700 too. I did better then you by going over my son's house to do the swap. It was tough for 2 of us to get the new top all the way on. I feel for you doing it alone. It will get looser after it's been up with the sun on it. I can take mine down and back up by myself with little trouble. The first time I zipped the back window in it took me 20 min. Now I can take it out and put it back in just a couple min.

Good luck and enjoy your new top. I love mine.

Now thats what I call fun!!!

No, not really fun at all.

I purchased a 2013 JKU 4 door Sport about a month ago. It came with the hard top. I knew I wanted a soft top so I started doing some craigslist searching. After about 2 weeks of searching, I found a factory OEM premium soft top off of a 2013 Sahara, that was still wrapped up and all hardware in the boxes. I had to have it. I drove about an hour and fifteen minutes to get it. After work today I decided to attempt installing it. After my wife helped me remove the hard top she took my 1 and a half year old son in for a nap, leaving me with my 3 yr old daughter to help me. I installed the door surrounds with ease. I was so impatient, I decided to attempt the actual top alone. Now, anybody who has installed one of these knows that the directions are terrible, so I disposed of them and went with common sense. I had a heck of a time fighting the top to attach the brackets to the roll bar. Then I struggled to raise the top in to place. I think I struggled because I had no clue what I was doing. So, I latch the front down, walk to the back and see about a 3"-4" gap I gotta close. Thank god I am a big guy. I pull the frame down just enough to tuck the back flaps in to place. Now its window time. WOW, are those suckers tight. It was so hard to zip those things in to place. My fingers still hurt. I move to the back window to install the window bar and window. Easy to install if you can reach the top of the frame to pull it down and create some slack. Sore fingers and 2 hours later I have one nice OEM soft top on my jeep. I really hope it stretches out to make removal and install easier. I do not reccomend installing a top for the first time alone.
The great news is, I picked the top up for $700
From what I am understanding, this is an $1800-$2000 dollar top.
