|HillbillyJeeper||I've been driving jeeps 20 years, just bought a new rubi and I still get that grin... That's just satisfaction oozing out.|

|Goldcomet||Did You buy new? Great looking Jeep. We wound up buying new after shopping both. Everyone wants so much for used- even 60000-80000 mile ones it just doesn't seem worth it for how close the price is for a new one. We bought a 2013 JKU Sport 6sd.|

Went out shopping today and found exactly what I was looking for. As soon as I get home I'll post a picture. Now I need to make it mine but don't know where to start. It did come with a hard and soft top.
One thing I did learn from this is that all Wranglers drive and feel different.

re: 303 303 Products 30350 Aerospace Protectant - 32 oz.:Amazon:Automotive
I hunted up a jug of this on strong recommendations from a thread here last summer.
Gotta say it's been a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!
While I'll use it up, I ain't buying any more of it.
I did a little compare post last fall on about 4 or 5 different products on what they'd done for my own JK.
So far, the stuff from 'Mothers' has been by far the best, but I ain't done shopping yet, and won't laud any of them. Except if they are a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.
Some of them are just plain waste of time/money/effort.

|Miser||You want a Dana 44 rear diffrential. It will have a metal fill plug. If it has a rubber fill plug it is a Dana 35, which I do not recommend!|

|MI JeepSkate||i paid 19950 out the door for my 10... mine was in much better shape and had only 29,900 miles with a clean car fax and every GOOD option. i looked for months trying to find the right used one because i thought i couldnt afford new and when i look at my payments now and how much i still put in the bank, i realize i could have spent the extra 3k on a new one. still happy with my purchase as theres not a lot out there in my set up so its pretty unique but id definitely keep shopping|

(Disclaimer: this was in the early fall of '08, when big eight cylinder engines were severely devalued because of a gas crisis.)

I haven't personally used it, but my door handles are starting to look a little less black so I think I'll be ordering a bottle.
To the OP: sorry for my rude bumper comments. I was just razzin' ya. If you buy that rig, you could probably recondition it with some Back to Black or similar product.
Still, I recommend saving up a little more and buying new. I've bought several vehicles with 65,000+ miles, and while I agree there is plenty of life left, major wear and tear issues tend to start popping up between 60-80k miles. If you can't afford to drop $5-8k more on a new model, you might end up paying even more than that if your rear end poops the bed and your transmission starts slipping. But hey, if around $15k is your absolute max budget, this seems like a decent deal.

|kgg||Just make sure it's a 4WD model - I believe there were some in the first few years of JK production that were 2WD. Don't get stuck with one of those.|
|07-03-2013 07:28 AM|
|4Jeepn||Which rear axle does it have? Early 07's had the dana 35... vs the better dana 44.. again if you don't plan to go off road, not a big deal... other wise your looking at big bucks to upgrade. Also for what its worth.. for that same price range if you look around you can get a TJ rubicon model.|

What shocks ?
My 07 is losing about a quart every 5K. I look at it this way.., always fresh oil on the case
Plus now my JK is not my DD.

I see the tag says Baker , are you buying it from Baker in Princeton? If so they are great people. I have my Jeep serviced there and they are very knowledgeable about Wranglers. Their service manager builds some custom Jeeps which they sell at a premium on the lot. I would ask to have them walk you through this Jeep to review the add ons and specifics before buying. good luck.
always forward. PJ
