Better Safe than Sorry

I have the same tire and wheel size and I have heard too many people saying their hinges started rattling due to the weight. I put on a heavy duty one just to be safe. I went to the Jeep dealership since I really didn't want to pay $800 for a Tera. They had one that they installed for about $200. They upgraded the hinges, put on a different mount and bump stops.

Ajax333333 I just looked up the Vtec Raptor wheels I have and the backspacing says 6 inches. Could that be right?

TRAUMAhead What wheels and backspacing? I'm running a 35x12.50R17 Nitto Trail Grappler on a Level 8 ZX wheel with 4.5" backspacing and it's fine, just needed to extend the tire bump stops. 2010 JKUR, auto, 4:10s for the past year and it's fine, but my city is flat and low.

Tailgate w/ tire size

Will I have to get an aftermarket tire carrier if I put a 33/12.50/17 Micky Thompson Baja on the back of my JKU?

I currently run a 285/70/17 BFG A/T on my factory tire carrier. I know I should just go to 35's, but I don't want to get an aftermarket bumper right now and I have a 07' auto JKU with 4.10 gears. Which means, I believe, I would have to regear for 35's as well
