Bumble Jeep Thanks guys, mine is not leaking, it just feels sloppy. It's not the ball joints, tie rod or pitman arm, as thoes are all new. I'm going to try tightening the adjustment nut a bit befor I purches a new gear box. I'm going to work on it tomorrow morning, I'll let you all know how it turns out.

RevCo666 IF you can't find it at a junk yard, just order one from Here's some info that will save ya some cash if you do decide to order online:

Using Your Discount Code

Enter the code above in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart. If you are using our traditional HTML catalog, please click the "Apply" button to the right of the field. Your discount will automatically appear, subtracted from your parts order total. Orders using discount codes must be placed online. Phone orders are not eligible for discounts.

Please note: We sometimes get calls from people who put the word "discount" in front of their code and do not get the discount. Please enter ONLY the discount code, no other words or numbers. Code must be entered before order is submitted to receive discount. The discount takes 5% off our already-low prices. There's no limit on order size or the number of orders. Use the code for your next order, and share the code with friends, neighbors, relatives, the guy at the corner garage--anyone you know who works on cars or trucks.

This discount code expires on July 21, 2013; so don't wait!

(I love copy and paste lol)

joeinajeep Yes, good info here:

I ran with one for years, but now I just use a reman stock one. It's too hard to find a Durango one in a junk yard that's in good shape, and I actually prefer the handling of the stock one. Others disagree with me, it's a matter of preference, try one and see if you like it. Easy mod.

new steering box

Ok guys, I need to replace my steering box on my 00TJ, (I have needed to do this for a while now) I would like to do the Durango swap. My question is what year am I looking for, my research tells me 1999. Is this correct? Has anyone done this swap?
