Hammerwalk The tumbling seats have got to be one of the biggest hate / love situations on the TJ. I stopped fixing that cable after the 3rd time it snapped. Such a common issue with that tumbling mechanism.

Water Dog There's a lever under the front right below the seat adjustment on the tunnel side that you can push down while pulling the seat back forward with your other hand. That will release it to fold forward. As mentioned above, the cable to the loop is probably broken, but using the lever will allow you to fold it forward so you can see. Here's a picture.

yes it look like there is 2 rail, the first one just to adjust the passenger seat back and forth, the second rail then goes (should) go way more forward to allow a person to get to the back

passenger seat

I have been fighting for the last 30 minutes trying to "fold" that seat....I lost the battle. ok I'm new to the Jeep, but still, how hard can it be to "fold" that seat so passenger can get to the rear seat. I've tryied to pul oon the "loop" of the seat, pull on the lever on the back of the seat etc... but it's not moving. the only thing I can do is to slide the seat from the "regular" rail to adjust it .

any idea what I'm doing wrong?
