|lambsb||I wish I'd seen this post earlier. Hope its not too late to help. They make a vinyl eraser that is a 5" diameter wheel that you put in a drill. Use the cream colored type not the red. Gettem from parts house that carries paint n stuff. That's what we use, I work at a vinyl shop. Takes the struggle out of removal. Just go slow and if you wear the disc too thin use caution it is molded around a metal disc. Won't hurt the paint when done right. Takes care of the sticky left behind too. Then wipe it down with rapid remover or similar product. Happy Jeepin!|

|zracTA||just don't put too much heat near it, take it easy or you could damage your paint|

|Wranglin4Life||I guess I will give the heat gun a try and see what happens and then get the eraser wheel if needed.|

All I had was the standard TJ lettering. I peeled all of it off with a thumbnail until I could get a big enough piece to pull the whole thing off.
Cleaned it with alcohol to get the residue off, then put the new lettering on.

And be glad it wasn't them splash graphics. Mine were on for ~10 years, then got pulled off. 9 years later, you can see a sheen where they were, but it's not bad at all. Way better than leaving em, though I like the purple hood pinstriping. =)

|1jeeplvr||Depending on how long they have been on expect some paint fading. But id take some fading over those horrible stickers anyday|

|Carlsbad0331||But let someone do it who has done it before... Ive seen more than one disaster with a heat gun and eraser wheel. It doesnt take alot to burn right through the paint!|

Seriously though +1 on the heat gun and eraser wheel.

|krisbman||Either a heat gun or an eraser wheel will pull them off. If they've been on there for a grip an eraser wheel will probably be the best bet.|

|sandnsaltwater||A local body shop should be able to do it for you. Should not be much...I had the dealer take mine off. They just put a heat gun on them and peeled them off. Good Luck!|
