RyWalk Oh, just to add. The seats are plenty comfortable with the spray. A little rough like Babino mentioned, and for a couple days after applying the spray it made the butt of my shorts a bit rough for an hour after driving. But they're great now after a couple weeks.

RyWalk Just recently I bought some cheap universal seat covers and tried spraying the NeverWet on those, I didn't want to worry about it staining my seats, and if I didn't like it I would just take the covers off.

It's been holding up pretty good, no staining on the black seat covers, and I'll take the function over the "frosty" coat.

I did a fairly light base coat though, reading the instructions that came with the spray it said a light base on fabrics still lets them be breathable. Breathable seats are important in the Florida summer.

I'd say they are at least 50% water proof. The seats still get damp after a rain, but they dry in just a couple hours. And I took the carpet out too of course, so the water rolls off the seats and eventually out the drain plugs.

Haven't tried the stereo or steering wheel, but I may have to do that. I got caught top down when a fast but heavy storm hit while I was sleeping in the morning. I've been having some airbag and horn issues after the steering wheel got a good dusting

I sprayed it on a white t shirt and it made the material a little bit rough, but nothing too bad.

Babino Windshield I would say no. I was thinking about doing my fenders since they are a matte black plastic anyways and I always have mud getting kicked up on to them.

mjpjr45 Looks pretty cool. I'm going to have to check that stuff out.

coastiejohn So this would not be good to coat the windshield or paint. I am planning on doing the under carriage to keep mud off. Kinda bummed it doesn't go on clear.

Never Wet

Found a product I wanted to share. It's called Rustoleum Never Wet. What it does is makes things water proof. I was intrigued when I saw the product years ago in it's developing stage and I saw it at Home Depot and gave it a shot. I sprayed my stereo and and center of my steering wheel just in case I get caught in a storm with the soft top off. Well today it started raining so I got to see how the product worked. I was very impressed, the water just beaded up and never actually got anything wet. My stereo stayed completely dry as well as my steering wheel. The only drawback is after you apply the second step in the coating process it leaves behind a "frosted" look. Nothing too bad but can definitely tell something was sprayed on it.
