GingerTJ Yeah maybe they didn't have the technology back then

jeepwayoflife Oops, missed the fact that it is a YJ. For some reason I assumed TJ, probably because that's all I read normally. Ignore my posts, I have no experience with earlier engines.

Drpinkydo In 91, jeep used injectors with single holes. The ford 19 # injectors come from later years and have 4 holes, creating a finer atomization of fuel. This allows less fuel to produce the same output. I gained about 1.5 mpg after this swap on my 91 4.0. For the $80 and one hour if time it took, it was well worth it. I'm not sure if I gained any power, but I certainly didn't lose any.

jeepwayoflife If they added power without any drawbacks, don't you think jeep would have put them in from the factory?

CaliWrangler @jeepwayoflife: I guess i'll take the chance for the small amount it will cost me... I hear alot of people say they work (read GingerTJ post below yours... sounds like he's a believer), and then I hear the opposite side of "it does nothing". So I shall see... I was able to pick up 8 of them on ebay for super cheap.

@GingerTJ: I hope they work... I just got some Bosch 4 Hole Pintle Injectors... I'll keep my fingers crossed.

jeepwayoflife Why are you looking for ford injectors? You will not see any power or mpg improvements...

19lb Ford Injectors???

Hi All,

I have a few extra bucks and am trying to do minor upgrades to my semi-awesome jeep! Does any have a set of these that will be a direct fit on my jeep? I have a 91 Yj 2.5L .... Not sure if you need any other info in regards to the engine.

Thanks for your time.
