|rodin||so I jacked up the axle at the LCA mount on the passenger side. don't think I got it up to its limit so this photo may not hold much value. about an inch left of room.|

|rodin||going to test this tomorrow with jack stands and the swaybar disco'd. i have the stock shocks with adapters. going to Moab on Friday and completely removing the swaybar when i get there, so I don't really want to find out then.|

I am thinking about installing the lift myself with some help possibly. I heard the exhaust spacers were the toughest part. Do you think it's worth it to get the bilsteins and have to do the exhaust spacers or should I just get the TF shocks and then not worry about the exhaust spacers? I say this now but I do think my Jeep will be mostly a daily driver. Who knows though, I might do more wheeling than I'm expecting.
I'll be ordering a 2014 JKU soon so I'm not sure if that matters. I heard the issue started with the 2012's.

|BigManAndy||I have the TF 2.5" coil lift with Bilstein 5100 shocks and at full droop the front driveshaft was resting right on the crossover. Exhaust spacers took care of that problem.|

What about the 2.5 TF coil lift with the bilstein shocks? Will an exhaust spacer be needed for this?

|fljeepleo||Metal cloak allows for a lot of flexibility and droop. Like I said, you drive shaft droop is limited by the length of the shock. The Op is using the factory rubicon shock with the extension. This will not allow enough droop for contact.|

On my '13 JKUR with a 2.5 Metacloak lift they were needed.
As well, they were the hardest part of the installation of the lift.

I installed the Teraflex 2.5 lift last weekend. I noticed at full droop, with the frame on stands and the axled lowered via floor jack, that the drive shaft just laid on the exhaust pipes, so I'll be throwing in the extensions before I wheel it, just for piece of mind.
I also installed a Monster Front Track bar, and I feel it was worth it. Steering feels more solid and I check that both axles are completely centered (the rear bracket did a great job)
I was going to get the stabilizer, just to complete the look, but I fell back on "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

For the 2.5, you don't need the components you listed (front trackbar, steering stabilizer). The stocks will do just fine and at that height, it won't alter the geometry as much.
For the exhaust spacer, it's just for insurance purposes if u plan on using ur jeep as a jeep. It's very inexpensive so might as well do it.

I thought the issue with the 2.5 inch lift and the exhaust spacer was actually the length of the Teraflex shock that was included with the 2.5 kit. They shortened the shock so there is less down travel thus eliminating the need for the exhaust spacer. I'm running this kit with no spacer and haven't touched. And trust me, i've flexed it to the max!
I'm using that exact kit with the rubicon shocks and extension.

Is exhaust extension still needed on 2013 JKU for 2.5" lift?
The 2012's had that issue where spacers were needed to be installed so the driveshaft would not contact the exhaust.
I've read conflicting stories on whether or not this was required with a 2.5" lift.
Is this still necessary (if necessary for a 2.5" lift) with a 2013 JKU?
Any other tips or tricks you guys can throw out there? I've already watched the Teraflex install video and read a ton.
Opinions on whether a new stabilizer and adjustable track bar should also be done at the same time I'm under there, or wait until "it's needed". ???
