I'm pritty sure there's a guy on eBay that does decals for the side of jeeps. You type what you want and stuff.

CaliWrangler :::::::::: Build Update ::::::::::::

It's not that big of a deal, but with my limited knowledge, I'm glad I was able to get it done.... I changed the Throttle Body to the 4.0! My phone died, so I didn't have it to take pictures...

I did run into a little problem... The 4.0 throttle body sensors don't allow you to bolt it directly on... So I had to make a trip to my local hardware store to by security torx bits and change out the sensors.... As soon as I did, everything bolted on fine!

I'm not sure, if my mind is playing tricks on me or not... but it does feel like it has a LITTLE more "get up" and idles a tad bit better... I think the idle fix, may be attributed to having a super clean throttle body in there.

Next on the list... is building an ammo can center console... I will forsure take photos of that process!

CaliWrangler @almarsh78: Thanks very much... The Rhino ran me about $500... I the whole tub done and then around the bottom of the outside of the jeep all the way around. I did get a deal on it, because I have a buddy. I think, it would of cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $675 without my hookup. I love it though... I don't worry about anything inside the jeep... I just wash it out and it's good to go.

@Xpress: I feel silly to ask, but what's a 185? I'm lost...LOL

@tankertalk: LOL thanks... Ya, I'm stuck between Zeus & RealSteel! I might just throw the names in a hat... that's always a good way to solve things.

@Jeepwrangler1993: yea... the silver and black has been great... Now I have black out the interior...seats, center console, dash... in due time.
07-09-2013 11:42 PM
Jeepwrangler1993 Yea paint is nice but the previous owner doesnt kno how to paint for shit there runs all over that thing plus I'm thinking silver with black

Xpress Is that a 185 I spy??

almarsh78 Nice jeep!

Just picked up an 87 myself... Love the rhino liner idea, was thinking of that for mine. If you don't mind me asking... What did the rhinoliner set you back?

CaliWrangler @JeepWrangler1993: I think the color is Toyota Silver.... And ya, the bumper was super awesome... In the near future I want to get the matching back one as well. For now, I'm stuck with the tow-hitch! BTW the paint job on your jeep is sick..... it's sooo glossy it looks wet! And we have the same flares!

@tankertalk: I think "her" might turn into a him! I'm leaning toward something like "RealSteel"..."Rocky"..."Ghost"..."Atom"..."Ze us"

These tough decisions!!!

I did receive the 4.0 Throttle Body today... So hopefully I can somehow figure how to get it installed.

tankertalk You did well my friend! So what did you end up naming her?
07-09-2013 12:28 AM

But I like the idea of getting familiar with the D35 and creating a repair kit (I'm not sure what would be part of the repair kit, but I'll do some researching).

Ohh ya.... quick question... I hear alot of bad mouthing about the Dana 35 rear... and how "fragile/weak" they are. Are they really that bad? Like do they just snap rolling down the street, or are we talking about if we are doing some serious off-roading?

I don't plan on doing any serious off-roading just yet... But I would like to hit up some "light trails".
I ran the D35 with 4.88 gears, lockrite & 33's for YEARS with no issues. I carried extra axles, c-clips, nuts, bolts, etc.....and never used any of it. Oh and by the way I live about 1 1/2 hrs from the trailhead for the Rubicon so needless to say it was used for heavy wheeling. With that being said I have a D44 out back of my Jeep now. My advice is if you don't have the $$ and/ability to do the swap then buy some spare parts and get familiar with your differential. Take it apart and put it back together a few times. Keep all the tools you use in one spot and make yourself a D35 repair kit. Save some cash and put a Ford 8.8 or a Dana 44 in it someday.
