GermanWrangler Any chance you still have a working windshield wiper motor? Mine has been on the fritz (intermittent) for a while now.

What year is that? I have a 97, with 188k miles and nothing like that is going on, (just got back from rolling underneath on the crawler), must be some wicked stuff they put on the winter roads where you live.

Amped yeah, not really worth the trouble. this frames full of holes i can put my hand thru. very rotted through. and yeah its sad, but theres a newer one in my future.

TJ Skip They have stengthening frame pieces for that very spot for sale through quadratec or somwhere if that's the only issue you could at least do that till you get a new frame I dunno just seems sad to get rid of a tj

Well. This ones done for.

Oh man, where to begin
Well, upon dropping the exhaust to go through my oil pan while the rest of my motor was apart... trying to deal with a head gasket issue.... I found some frame rot. Upon further inspection and even further inspection, i found more and more catastrophic frame rot.
I had prior knowledge of the cancer, had been putting it off. Lesson learned the hard way.
5 Years later, its toast.

Heres a sample of the rot, a small portion of it



This was the day I found the problem (last tuesday)



Heres a pic of what it looks like today, I've been parting her out.
