|d3digit||"""""WARNING"""" Be careful of using zip ties. It happent to me. Couple of years ago I was wheeling and I put them on my swaybar and during a turn my tire hit it and came loose and puncture my tire... Really a 2" hole in the sidewall of my new tire. Me was pisss|

I got a hanging strap from home depot and hook it to the frame and the d ring to the QD http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-100...1#.Ud9hcmZlDMI

|TeraFlex||Our Quick disco's also come with a place to park the links/hold the sway bar out of the way.|

but sometimes I forget to secure my swaybar after disconnecting. It seems to say out of the way if it's pulled up high.

The TJ version of the JKS quickers comes with a frame mount pin as well. Mainly because the top mount is bolted. The kid has a set on her TJ. I use a bungee cord cross wrapped around the end of the sway bar and then around the hoop on my front bumper. It keeps the swaybar high and tight.

|jadmt||I just pull my discos and put them in a zip lock to keep grease off everything and throw them inside the jeep. I use an old belt to hold the swaybar up altho after many miles in Moab it did not move so not sure the belt was necessary.|

|NFRs2000NYC||Thanks for the tip Lou. My wheels have 3.35 backspacing, is that still not enough to clear? This is a legit concern though so thanks for bringing it to my attention!|

|Matador||Dave, you have to be careful with those relocation brackets. Some wider tires will rub. The best, easiest and cheapest solution is to just use a bungee cord on one side to hold the link and entire bar and then zip tie the link to the bar on the other side.|

|kramer2k||I went the same route as JEEPDON and welded a pin along the side of the top shock/spring. I can then slide the sway bar links on that pin and secure it with the cotter pin. I have some pictures in my build thread.|

|l2abbit||Let us know how the work out for you! Looks like those are way more convenient and easier to store. Not to mention cheaper :-(|

|NFRs2000NYC||Thanks for the help boys. I'll get these.|

|afletche||the teraflex quick disco's come with the extra pins to connect the discos when the swaybar is disconnected. however on mine (35" tires, 2" lift, 4.5 bs wheels) they rub on the disco when it's stored so i end using the zip ties anyway.|

%^&* I paid $80 for mine.

|NFRs2000NYC||I just want to make sure they are a quality item and not just a convenient item. Would anyone recommend the JKS over these from a quality standpoint?|

Jeep Sway-bar Quick Disconnects
Are they a quality item (as good as JKS?) Also, will they work on my 2" teraflex coil leveling kit?

|DirtyTeddy||Take a look at RC discos, you mount a bracket to your frame to hold the links when disconnected|
|07-11-2013 12:54 PM|
I've seen a guy that mounted a second pair of teraflex discos up on his frame. He just puts them on there and slides the cotter in.
I just use zipties and cut them when back off the trail.

I'm sure you could fab something up but the small ties can easily pop off with a key or screwdriver & are cheap. I keep a handful in the rear tub.
Some discos can be removed at both top & bottom - mine can but I just leave the top connected

|SHYUperman||I just use bungee cords to hold them to the frame when I take my JKS off|

|enjerhoo||I push the swaybar up & tie the disconnects to the bar with a couple zip ties. The friction in the bushings will hold the bar up|

To all you guys with quick sway disconnects...
How do you guys secure the swaybar when it's disconnected?
