|whiteyjfm||I don't think shocks are your problem. If no suspension changes was made, then it is possible that it could be ball joints. How many miles on the Jeep and are you running the stock suspension??|

First off, you're in the TJ forum, not the JK. But we can help some anyway.
Shocks likely won't fix your problem because they don't control lateral movement of the tires, only vertical.
What do you mean by they won't "settle?" Is there any steering feedback from these events? Does it feel like you're going to lose control or more that the jeep is just a little unstable?

New tires... Need heavier shocks?
I have a 2010 sahara and have recently upgraded tires and wheels. I went from the stock 255/70/18 up to 325/60/18. The look is awesome and they handle perfect, no rubbing at all. The place that mounted them recommended to use beads for balancing (semi trucks use) so I decided to try them out. The idea is they re-balance every time you stop and start. well... they are in the shop getting regular balancing as I am writing this. ride fine sometimes and sometimes not. My question is when driving around town everything is good, however when I do thruway driving at 60mph or better, when there is a bump in the road the tires seem not to settle down from bump. I have to back off for a second to let them settle down. Is this due to the much heavier tires?? would heavier shocks help with this? and if so can you recommend a shock(s) that would help? thanks in advance
