|Bozz5384||Just put a set of 7000MT's on my YJ -- they ride really, really nice.|

|HK_Runner||Yeah, I even called ARBUSA. They confirmed that the Nitrocharger was discontinued in favor of the Nitrocharger Sports. Apparently, everyone was asking for the Sports and the regular Nitrochargers were not selling. When I told High Country (very good 4x4 shop here) they were surprised too. They aid a lot of Jeepers ask for those regular Nitrochargers.|

|kjeeper10||That's great. The OME was my first guess. Did not know they discontinued a model.|
|07-14-2013 05:15 PM|
|HK_Runner||Haha, yes it would. I found probably the only 918L and 916L set anywhere. I hear the original Nitrochargers were softer than the Sports but they are discontinued. I called everywhere (all the usual dealers and all the local shops) and then discovered that a local shop (Rokmen) had a set left. So I figured why not. If they suck, they suck. Those Elkas sure look nice though.|
|07-14-2013 05:11 PM|
|kjeeper10||Well well.... That would leave OME|
|07-14-2013 05:04 PM|
|HK_Runner||I hope so. I only have three options left- Rancho 9000XLs, Rancho 7000s, and TF Elkas.|

|kjeeper10||5100 without the harshness works. And they do brake in some over time. Think they're nice now .,..,, wait a bit.|

|kjeeper10||Phew!! I could not wait for your review. Now we can both rub it in HK's face|

|tab22092||Ok so ive got them on. I drove myself to get a slice of pizza. And WOW. these things are just simply amazing. I floated over the rail road tracks that used to chatter my teeth and give my shift knob seizures. I honestly could not believe it. And just for hahas i went off on this little washboard trail by my place and was able to second gear without being tossed around! This is truly the best money ive spent so far. Look no further than the 7000's. thats it!|

The mystery has been solved
The foam piece is there to absorb any shock oil. Sometimes a small amount will seep out before the seals seat.

The plastic piece is for the strap/ribbon only. I have no idea what the foam thing is for

Well, good choice in shocks
Couple install tips.
- if not too late. Leave the straps on the rear 2 shocks.
- make sure the lower rear bushing fits. You may have to spread the factory mount with a pry bar. Last thing you want is to muscle the shock up to find it won't fit.
- like I said, leave the strap on and bolt up the top two bolts. Now cut the strap and guide the shock bushing into the lower mount.
The fronts are straight forward. Install top but don't tighten the nut. The mount is up higher so you can get under the shock and compress easier than the rear. Tighten lower and than the upper. You want the upper nut tightened just enough to compress the bushings.
Good luck and can't wait for review. I speak for HK as well

|HK_Runner||Oh I meant I wish you had 5100s on a 2-door 2012, found them too harsh, and were swapping out.|
