tg2684 2010 JKUR. Dealership has replaced soft top 4 times for leaking. Works for 3-6 months and it starts again. Took it in yesterday for the same issue and they said I need a new bow assembly and door seals. Jeep has 46,000 miles on it and I'm in the extended warranty. First quote was for $650 to repair. After I got the service manager involved and had him look at the number of times I've had to bring my jeep in for service on the top he agreed to do the work for free. We will see how long this repair lasts.

JSichthus Traded off the 08 soft top that never leaked a bit.

Had my 14 JKU with HALF doors through a Local automatic wash last week with no leaks at all. When power washing it, I was able to get some drips through the seam at top, where soft top meets soft upper

Monster75 I have a 2012 with the hard top. I have found that it leaks only when I over tighten the bolt in the sound bar. I have noticed just finger tight and it doesn't leak. I at first thought they needed to be extremely tight. Well live and learn.

TherapyJeep Mine doesn't leak but like someone else said if I open my door when its raining it definitely rains into the jeep. I would make sure you put the top on correctly and everything is attached tight.

SRTie4k My 2012 leaked when I got it, so I brought it to the local Chrysler dealer. A day, a complete mess of butyl tape and a new windshield upper seal later and it no longer leaked.

gorillahydrographics I have a 2013 2 door soft top. Had it out this last sunday in the mountains when it began to rain. After 30 minutes the top seam above the rear window had begun to leak. The white backing on the inside was soaked!

I also noticed that all the seams with the white backing was soaked and had started to drip.

Those who say thats just the way it is are either to lazy to make it right or they have more money to throw away than I do.

If you buy a Mercedes convertable or a Jeep neither should leak if the top is in good condition.

I saw a college student here in tucson the other day that had a 4 door JK with a soft top.

The rear sails were not tucked under the rails and the windows not tucked in to the door rail. I asked her why she drove around like that, she said

" I wasnt sure how they went so I just left them unhooked."

Some people care about the things they buy, some dont. Its easier to say "its a jeep thing" than to correect the problem.

The dealer here has aked me to drop it off and if they can duplicate the leak they will replace the top - so it must not be a jeep thing.
