BTW, I prepped my son for the fact that since he's got an early to mid '12 model Wrangler, if his CEL indicator comes on, take it to the dealer and let them deal with it, don't worry to much about it. I just don't want the CEL coming on while he's mid way between home and his first duty station in Charleston!
True. Its a fun vehicle and I'm loving it with top down and doors off. Im not concerned about the dealer keeping it for a few days to work it out, as long as I have my rig back in good shape. I've had it for 1 1/2 years now but 5700 miles on it. Obviously, best that this comes up while under warranty than without.

I never once commented on how my '12 jk was awesome and did not have the dreaded tick because I didnt want to jinx myself.

now im going back to pick it up.

The service tech is going to be correct. You'll need a head in the near future. After that, you'll be fine.

Welding Rod Might be a bad coil. I had one go bad on my new Challenger.

What year is your Jeep and how's my miles are on it?
2012, 5500 miles, it had about 1/4 tank at the time. tech mentioned that it could be a spark plug, but ruled that out being that the jeep is still new.

I had it in for the second oil change about 100 miles ago. At first, i thought maybe that forgot to reset the light?? but it wouldnt cause that error code?

EFFn A, CEL, cylinder 2 misfire

My dad was driving my jeep for about two weeks now since they have been in town. Yesterday, I get in to move the jeep, and I notice the CEL. He mentions thats the first time it has come on. It was about 96 degrees here yesterday, probably higher with the heat index. Would that cause anything to trip up in the computer? It was about 530 and dealers close up at the time, I went to the local autozone.

As I turn it back on after auto zone tech is done, the CEL turned off. Im still taking it to the dealership today.

Any thoughts on what could cause that to happen?
