4.56 is definitely the way to go if you have the 4.0L, 5-speed manual transmission, and 33" tires... that is a great combination.

Edit: Whoops I see you have the 3-speed 32RH automatic which does not have an Overdrive final drive ratio like the 5-speed manual transmission or newer 4-speed 42RLE automatics do. 4.10 is the right ratio for 33" tires with your particular 32RH transmission!!!
4.10...10-4...

That depends on if the automatic is the 3-speed 32RH used through 2002 or the 4-speed 42RLE automatic used starting in 2003. For 33" tires with the 32RH, 4.10 is appropriate because the 32RH doesn't have an overdrive. For 33" tires with the 42RLE, 4.88 is the appropriate choice because of the stupid-high .69 ratio Overdrive ratio that drops the engine RPMs excessively low.

I think it is if the auto has overdrive, the 3 speed is 4.10

Has anyone regeared with 4.10s and wish they had gone with 4.56s? Or vice versa?

Jerry Bransford Yes, I made the mistake of only going with 4.10 gears when my previous TJ with 4.0L and 5-speed transmission got 33" tires. I was kicking myself something terrible within a few days, regretting that I didn't listen to others who kept pushing me to install 4.56.

Goalieme I LOVE my 4.56s with the 4.0 - ax-15 5spd - 33x10.5 BFG km2s. Rarely have to drop out of 5th but I live in a very flat area.
