Lanco how 5th gear will feel on the highway has to do with your gearing. i can tell you my 2001 on 35's with 3.73 gears was worthless in 5th gear. i now have 4.88 gears and 5th gear is wonderful.

do you know what gears you have?

kjeeper10 What gearing do you have ?

No ... 3.5"/35" is ideal.

Newbie with a question about tires

Hey guys, I've owned my automatic 2013 2-door Wrangler sport for almost a year now and I'm looking into getting it lifted with a 3.5" full suspension system lift. I wanted to get some big beefy tires however I've been told that with 35" tires it'll be hard for my jeep to hold 5th gear on the freeway. Is that true? Would a 315/75r16 do the same thing? Would this size tire rub at full flex with a 3.5" kit?
Or rather than looking at the larger options a better question might be would a 285/75r16 be large enough to give me the thick look that I want?
Let me know what you guys think. Post pictures. It would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!!
