Jerry Bransford I drilled holes into mine for a roof rack I used to have and I regret having done that. Once I stopped using the rack, I had holes in the hard top that are hard to patch. Now the patched holes look bad. I wouldn't drill it, I'd just use two 2x4 pieces of wood under it to lift it up and support it while it's off the Jeep.

kg4kpg I've seen picture where people have done that. Not sure what size washers or other material they used. If and when I ever have my hard top I would probably do the same.

drilling into the hard top

I have a question about drilling hole in the hard top. First, has anyone done it, and second, if I attach eye bolts with the wide fender washers (with rtv between them), do you think it would hold the weight of suspending it? Just trying to build a better mouse trap on removing my hard top.
