X2 on this thing having been lifted and brought back down, but if its this dangerous on the return can you imagine what the lifted version looked like?

That is the part you should have, along with some new U Bolts just to be safe. It looks like someone stuck home made spacers on the bottom of yours for some stupid reason.

I know those rear blocks have been mentioned, but those are what concern me the most in this whole setup. Yes, the steering stabilizer is in a totally screwy location, but what's really dangerous on this rig is that rear end.
The spring packs have what is called a centering pin in the middle of them. They locate your spring pack on the perch of the axle. Then your u-bolt plate has a hole in the middle of it that the pin comes through. That box tube is just flat out dangerous. Before I touched another thing on that Jeep, I would get that fixed first.

|amerdt4||You "should" be able to do it by hand . Nothing a breaker bar can't take care of . If you don't have a breaker bar , a pipe on the end of a socket wrench or wrench can do the job . The only bolts I have ever NEEDED an impact gun for is the main eye bolts ,and even then I ended up cutting them . An investment of PB blaster is always a smart choice . Happy wrenching !|

|amerdt4||That bracket circled in red looks like the remnants of an after market steering stabilizer(take it off) . My guess is that this was lifted at some point but brought back down for some reason . First thing get rid of those blocks and get some shorter u-bolts . The steering stabilizer is now bolted to the front track bar bracket . That needs to come out and be bolted to the hole in front of the passenger side spring perch .|

You are missing your swaybar. You also have your rear trackbar in which will make it ride pretty rough in the rear. Your breather hose for the axle also looks like it is hanging.
That swaybar has a lot to do with it I bet. You can drive without one, but it depends on what type of lift you have. I cant for example unless I am going a short distance. Otherwise when I hit a big pothole I have to hang on a correct it quick. If your springs are soft and you have no swaybar it will feel like you are going to lose control over 40mph.
Also get that front end up off the ground and start pulling on everything. You will find if anything is loose when is starts making a knocking noise usually.

|RednekYJ||Steering stabilizer is not correct. It should be parallel with the tie rod. You have more than a few issues there. Get some new u bolts, and fix that stabilizer. Look for play in the front end by having someone cycle the steering while you are watching it. Also jack up the front and try to wiggle the tire at top and bottom and left and right. Play at 3&9 indicates worn tierod ends. 12&6 would be ball joints.|

You can buy new U bolts at almost any auto parts store.
But if those front springs are lift springs, and the rears are stock, well, then you're going to be sitting funny and un drivable.

For the death wobble, check all of your tie rod and drag link ends. A steering stabilizer or shock will not fix your problem.

check out this video, I get death wobble when i hit a pothole on only 1 side of the vehicle and this video certainly is informative on what to look for to correct the issue. It isnt the holy grail but it is good.

|ChaiseYJ||So I'm thinking this is what I do. Get a wheel balance to see if that will help I definitely need new shocks. But idk what I have to buy. Can I buy just the shocks . Do u guys have any recommendations cheap. Maybe I should get new leaf springs but my biggest concern right now is there sever death wobble|

|robmcbee||wow.... and I thought my P.O. had no idea what he was doing.... with that setup those blocks are useless and providing NO lift... Unfortunate for us as used jeep owners this is the kind of thing we run into. Good luck and the only way to learn is to ask questions and get your hands dirty.|

Looks like they put lift springs on the front, and kept stock springs in the rear, thinking " hey, I'll throw some blocks in there and call it good".
I hope you don't have much in it. Plan on spending a bit of $ to fix stuff the right way.
