PaulRevere1991 Sounds like a good time to upgrade to a ax-15

dukes-o-hazard Sounds like it might be a good time to go to the local salvage and get a used one. You can probably pick one up for the cost of a master rebuild kit and that would be you doing the rebuild. If it were me i'd just replace it something low mileage from a salvage yard that is willing to give you some kind of warranty, like at least 6 month.

overdrive problem!

I acquired my first jeep in a trade this past weekend and it has an overdrive problem. 1st thru 4th gear is smooth with no noise whatsoever. When I put in overdrive it makes slight grinding noise but goes in no problem. When I try to release the clutch it feels like the whole drivetrain wants to lock up. Then the clutch went out yesterday so I'm in the process of dropping the transmission anyway. Anyone have any idea what it may be and how hard and how much Im looking at to fix. Any advice is much appreciated. Its a 93 wrangler with a 2.5L.
