jwann01 My 07 leaks every time I wash it, but that's probably because I wash it with the top off.

BeanieAZ 2013 JKU. I take the freedom panels off on a regular basis. 11k miles. No leaks.

Just because one baseball player takes PEDs, does that mean ALL of them do?
Just because one person likes Pepsi, does it mean that everyone does?
Just because you use generalities, does it mean we all have to as well?

Why didn't you buy one of the first two that didn't leak? smh

LameStory 9 posts under this username. Unless I'm very much mistaken this is at least his third incarnation in the year I've been on here. At least he's persistent.

Yeah, I'm sure most of us have. I've noticed after years on several forums that it's usually someone who has no means to buy a new(er) vehicle that comes in, bashes and finds fault.

Mother's HHR will serve him just fine.

HillbillyJeeper Uh.... Has anyone cared to notice that this guy has like 9 posts and most of them are in this thread. I think we might be feedin a troll.

Owned several jeeps, all models and body styles and never had a leak that wasn't my fault BTW. Most leaks are improper installs by the owner in my experience.

backdoc My 2013 that I've had for almost 8 months has never leaked. Due to being slightly OCD I run it thru a car wash (with extreme pressure) at least once per week and it is fine. Freedom panels have been on and off numerous times.

JKBrad We've had some torrential rains since I bought mine. No leaks at all. If it did leak I would fix it myself. With all the threads on here, there are 3 main places to look. Door seals, roof panel seals and the sealed piece on the passenger side of the firewall.

Enjoy whatever Chevy you bought. No go to their forums and freak out when people talk about problems there.

probably a used metro.

Anybody that joins a forum with no intent to buy a vehicle for 3 years probably aint going to buy one lol.

JSichthus Yeah, "Wrangler2016" firmly believes that owning a Current Wrangler would cause him to shrink like a witch every time precipitation falls from the skies, "cuz he heard it on the INTERNET!!!"

It's leaking tops that we've been talking about. MOST of those that leak simply drip near the windshield header. Sometimes this is the result of improper installation, sometimes it's just poor seals. It's not a problem on every Jeep, and quite frankly, if you're that worried about it then you're likely to miss out on one of the greatest joys of driving a Jeep: going topless and doorless! Not many places you can live and guarantee that you'll NEVER get caught by an unexpected rain shower.

Way more people own wranglers that don't post and don't have issues. I suppose that many that have leaks do google searches and end up finding forums.
BTW, are leaks what I assume they are? A leak in either the hard or soft top? Maybe the leak refers to oil dripping or something similar. I live in VERY rainy Seattle and there are jeeps all over the place. I can't believe people are getting drenched riding to work in the morning but maybe so.

Ditto that time a thousand. Pretend you want to buy a full size truck. Check out forums on Ford, Ram, GM, Toyota and Nissan and I guarantee you won't buy any of them. I have to say this Wrangler Forum is ten times more positive than any four wheeled forum I have been to. A couple mustang forums are close but not quite at this level. Then again maybe Mustang and Wrangler owners are just more realistic and don't mind a few quirks in order to enjoy the benefits each vehicle offers.

HouseofCards There are numerous ways to fix the leaks, sealers, grease, etc. if you bought another vehicle why are you even bothering with the thread? You made your choice, find a chevy thread.

JeepBugs7 2013 with 11k miles and no leaks. And we have had some serious rain the past few months.

I really want a Wrangler but in no way find leaks acceptable and refuse to write it off as "a jeep thing". I'll probably roll the dice on a 2016 model, but will be closely inspecting the hard top before doing so.

123Jato I absolutely hate lifted mall crawlers that are all decked out. That is what a stock jeep is for

The answer is simple, he is a Jeep wannabe but cannot afford it so is trying to justify it to himself with lame excuses and comments that proves he does not have a clue. Lucky for the rest of us, one less mall crawling poser on the roads

JSichthus My 08 has had 0 leaks in 71k miles, with the original soft top. The top and doors go on and off with more regularity than my digestive track.

The only leaks I've had to deal with have been when purchasing second hand soft tops for my wife's Jeeps...and as OCD as she is about keeping the interior of her vehicles in SPOTLESS condition, a leaky soft top doesn't even faze her. She keeps a towel in the Jeep and recognizes that life isn't all rainbows and unicorns

To the poster of the thread, do yourself a favor and do your own research. Too many people on this forum like to gloss over and downplay the problems with the wrangler.
and what year of wrangler do you own?

WOW!!! You come on here picking on our babies and wonder what's wrong? Really! You try to cram your opinions on us yet have NO personal experience on the topic. WOW! Dude you need to mellow out and learn to respect others and then you will get the respect returned. You did not ask about the problems, you told of problems that you heard of. Dude, you are picking on people's babies! Relax.......
