|GoldenSahara00||I have a new build thread: http://www.wranglerforum.com/f322/go...ml#post6169202|
|11-05-2013 04:22 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||Few pics of how the rear end/departure improved. Much better. Couldn't find any pics that really showed how bad it was before mostly because I avoided that.|
|11-05-2013 04:17 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||Still on the lookout for axles tires or other fun parts. Should be making purchases on stuff or stuff to build around January.|
|10-15-2013 09:35 PM|
|jarrods2000tj||my girlfriend keeps telling me to cut my fenders t fit bigger tires my response "they are way to pretty to cut" lol|

|GoldenSahara00||With only 3 inches of lift and the axle brackets corrected the coils are pretty much as good as they are gona get as far as the buckets. Looks good. Definitely get rid of some of that bumpstop down the road if you can.|

Here's the top bucket we made. For those that haven't seen it.
|09-30-2013 11:12 PM|
Looks good. We center the coil bucket in wheel well and adjusted axle from there. I have 6" of bump stops with 2.5" coils. I have lots more to go up once we build flares, I'll cut the tub.
|09-30-2013 10:58 PM|
Better pic of the "stretch"
It's not much. When I hiline the rear I'm gona cut some out towards the rear but for how the bumpstops/shocks limit up travel and I don't get anywhere close to body interference.
|09-30-2013 10:53 PM|
Yea we got around a bit hit every area. And yeah when I set up the brackets I set the lowers forward a little more and adjusted the uppers to use all the clearance I could that I gained from the Rokmen GTS. Idk how much stretch I got because I didn't measure before and after but I got a little. Maybe 1.5 inches so nothing substantial but it's as much as possible.
Next up is a little front stretch I hope when I do the front axle. Lower it a tiny bit ( 2 inch rear springs and remove spacers from front) highline add 37s and outboard w new shocks. Then wheel forever.

|Hums99||Did you move your rear axle back? I gained 2.5" it appears you did it one of your photos.|
|09-29-2013 11:07 PM|
|Hums99||Awesome video! I kicking myself for not coming. I'll be there next time You were on some trails I didn't recognize but some looked like they were clear in the back at the tick garden.|

too bad you couldn't make it out scott.
Had a great day, didn't go too hard but had some fun, hit some obstacles I couldn't before the swap, walked up pretty much everything, only got denied once but It's pretty crazy and I only gave it one crack and based missed it. Tire lost traction just as it was coming over the top of the shelf and pivoted onto the belly. I got some good use out of the skid and she held up great. Theres a few shots of the belly and stance now w/ everything done.
Also here is a shot of a local guy scott's buggy. pretty sweet, and a cool guy. He does a lot for Rock Run which is where we were wheeling, it's an up and coming OHV park, they have around 4000 acres, but are mostly ATV/side by side and bike trails, but they are expanding to fit us guys in.

I might be in on the wheeling saturday. I've got to check what's going on. I finally measured my travel - front is 28'' and rear is 27''.
I'll check with on AJ page.

|GoldenSahara00||Wheeling saturday and then in 2 weeks after that.|
|09-17-2013 04:29 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||Thanks man. Sorry I never saw your post til now. Been very busy back at school, undergrad stuff isn't too hard but just busy. Hopefully hitting up rally at the rock at rock run in 2 weeks, depends on if the rest of the guys can make it. Jeep is doing well, mpg is coming up since the swap. Started around 12, I get like 15 now. Not sure why.|

|2003 wrangler||Our builds are very similar lol|
|08-30-2013 02:53 PM|
|2003 wrangler||Nice build Ryan, I plan on staying on 33 s also no reason for me to go any bigger. When I brake my dana 35 ill swap in a ford 8.8 LSD with stock 373 and if I want a locker then a Detroit is in my future and that would be awesome for me. Nothing in the front cause I have to drive through snow. Good luck cool build, Joey.|

|GoldenSahara00||A few pics of the skid and how smooth a transition it provides. With the pinion turned up I really have no worries about the pumpkin hanging up any more.|

Between the gears, LSD, and more correct suspension geometry in the rear, the rig literally walks up everything we have locally now. I have 2 climbs left to try, one that only I have done and made 90% then had to winch, and another that no one has done we've dubbed "The Widow-maker" for good reason...

|GoldenSahara00||Never got to share my exhaust. Also a nice view of the axle/skid/ modified bumper: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV_h...ynte8lZ07sOZAQ|
|07-31-2013 03:17 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||This belly clearance is still so sweet I can't get over it. Being able to drop the skid and still drive is so nice too.|
|07-29-2013 05:44 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||I'm on 3 inches but I don't mind cutting things up a little. I'm thinking 12 inch travel should work fine. We'll see when I measure. I will have to check those out, sound nice. I'm talking to a guy about a 60 right now but I don't think it's gona happen. Not right now at least. I have other things I need to do.|
|07-29-2013 05:41 PM|
|07-28-2013 01:19 PM|
|Hums99||I'll running a 6.5" Rusty spring and then lower it from there. We haven't put it on the ramp to know exactly what it will articulate yet. Going to triangulate the rear then fine tune from there. I have a set of bilstein shocks with reservoirs they are 38" in length. I'm going to try to use them.|
|07-26-2013 09:44 PM|
|GoldenSahara00||15 inch travel? Same suspension as me I thought you told me you were going bigger. I'm going for more uptravel then droop. Which springs are you running though. I'm gona probably try and swap at least my rears as the front are not an issue right now but I want a longer unsprung spring with a lighter rating.|

|07-26-2013 08:05 PM|
You are right, you have a good bit more droop than me and I will be either going to a high clearance rear CV or just clearancing mine myself at that point. The joint itself is fine it's just the clearance of the actual ears. You also have more lift than I do as well I believe.
She did great on the trails, I was super impressed. Got a ton of comments about how well she did.
|07-26-2013 07:28 PM|
Yours looked like it did very well on the trail
